Jillian Kay is a Southern California native and a proud graduate of Emerson College in Boston, where she earned a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in comedy writing and performance.
Jillian first found her passion for broadcasting in high school when she discovered she could combine her love of storytelling with her dedication to helping others.
While at Emerson, Jillian was involved in several professional organizations. She worked her way up to news director of the college's student-run news station - WEBN Boston. Jillian also reported, anchored and mentored younger classmen. All of this while being a four-year student athlete on the women's volleyball team.
Jillian has covered high profile events such as Super Bowl LVII, the 2022 Earthshot Prize Awards, and Comics Come Home - the largest comedy fundraiser in the nation. Her work has earned 2 EVVY Awards and 2 NATAS College/University Emmys.
In her free time, Jillian enjoys spending time with friends and family, staying active, watching television, meeting new people and finding unique experiences.
She misses her family, but is excited to tell the stories of the Rocket City and make Huntsville her new home!
