SpaceX released video of a test of a system to get astronauts safely off the launch pad - 16 stories high - in a matter of seconds!
Here's a look at it in action!Â
The emergency chute is a giant flexible slide that deploys from the top of the pad suspended by cables.
Astronauts then jump in and slide to the ground, all in about 20 seconds!
This emergency escape slide is one of the last additions to a launch pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station to certify it for human missions.
