UPDATE: Missing Florence man found alive in ravine

The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office says Jimmy Reed Butler has been found safe.

Butler, 82, of Florence was found between County Road 8 and County Road 10 in the Green Hill area on Monday afternoon.

Sheriff Joe Hamilton said Butler was located after two nights.

The sheriff's office said he had to be extracted from a ravine. He had minor injuries.

"He was alert and able to talk and was flown to Huntsville Hospital for treatment," Hamilton said.
