The warden at Limestone County Correctional Facility, Chadwick Ray Crabtree, and his wife, Melissa Crabtree, were arrested Friday morning on drug charges.
The pair was arrested after authorities executed search warrants at their home. According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, both are being held in the Limestone County Jail
They face charges of second-degree possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, manufacturing of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Chadwick Crabtree was placed on Mandatory Leave without pay pending further personnel action, according to the ADOC. Law Enforcement Services Division agents also executed a search warrant for Crabtree’s office at the Limestone County Correctional Facility.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending.
