Huntsville falls to Peoria in President's Cup Finals

Huntsville Havoc

The Huntsville Havoc fell to the Peoria Rivermen, 5-1, in the winner-take-all Game 3 of the President’s Cup Finals on Sunday.

Peoria, who faced elimination in both Game 2 and Game 3, won the final two games of the series on home ice to claim their second SPHL title.

Huntsville’s Alex Kielczewski scored the lone goal for the Havoc in the loss.

Former Havoc goalie Nick Latinovich saved 21 of 22 shots on goal for Peoria.

First-year head coach Stuart Stefan led the Havoc to their first finals appearance since 2019, finishing the season with a 35-22-6 record.
