David is no stranger to Huntsville broadcasting.
He has a combined total of 15 years in the area. His first stint with WAAY was from 1979 until 1983 as a photographer, producer, and sports reporter.
Over the years he’s worked at stations in Nashville, Baltimore, Shreveport and Memphis. That’s not all, David has been a radio announcer for more than 40 radio stations since 1972.
Still to this day, David lives by the motto he learned from original WAAY owner MD Smith: “We will always be winners if we work together as a team.â€
A native of Buffalo, New York, David attended Clark College and Alabama A&M University.
In his spare time he is an active member of Al Azhar Shriners Temple 195.
David is married to Jackie, general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Huntsville, and has five children ranging in age from 19 to 42.
