A Killen Police Department officer is in jail without bond facing rape and sodomy charges.
Jarrod Webster was arrested Friday afternoon by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Sheriff Joe Hamilton, investigators on Sunday received a phone call from Crestwood Medical Center that a female patient disclosed she had been sexually assaulted by a Killen Police officer during a traffic stop early Sunday morning.
“Due to the allegation of a police officer involved in a sexual assault while on duty, Lauderdale County Investigators entered into a joint investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation to investigate the incident,†Hamilton said.
Hamilton said his office is seeking contact with anyone with information on the case “or has been the victim of inappropriate actions at the hands of Jarrod Webster.â€
